USING MOVEMENT IN INTERDISCIPLINARY ACADEMIC LEARNING, DNCE 508
Dates: July 13 & 15, 9:00 am. to 4:00 pm. with break for lunch, & July 17, 9:00 am. to noon, Summer, 2009
Credit: Class is worth one hour of university graduate credit.
Location: The UNC Denver Center at Lowry

USING MOVEMENT AS A TEACHING STRATEGY IN EDUCATION, DNCE 508, ON-LINE CLASS
Dates: September 21 through December 7, Fall, 2009
Credit: On-line class is worth two hours of university graduate credit.
Location: Class is taught totally on-line.
Registration deadline: September 14, 2009
Cost: $380 (approximately) for weekly lessons and a copy of Using Movement to Teach Academics: The Mind & Body As One Entity, written by the instructor & published by Rowman & Littlefield Education in 2008.

Content for both classes: Emphasis is on teaching academic concepts through movement. Participants learn how to create & tailor movement experiences appropriate for communicating ideas & content to students. A Multiple Intelligences approach to teaching is demonstrated throughout the class, along with Active Learning teaching strategies.
